Art Exhibitions

Our Art Exhibitions are on hold for the present time. (March 2020)

Each month or so we aim to exhibit a local artist’s work in our store. We love the way this can connect us with our local community and know you will enjoy seeing the work of some of our local artists.

JAYNE SIMS – Exhibition

Jayne is a self-taught abstract artist and qualified hairdresser from Adelaide. Art has always played a major role in her life.

Jayne finds inspiration in the everyday, often spending time photographing the world around her with nature having a big influence on the way she selects colours, textures and patterns. Jayne paints intuitively with little prior planning and likes to explore a wide variety of mediums specializing abstract paintings.

Anneke had a long career as a Secondary School Art teacher and has recently retired. She has lived in Prospect for many years. Her beautiful works show her interest in varied subjects. Anneke’s exhibition includes her beautiful still life work and The Magpie Field works are striking in their monochrome colours. Anneke is available for commissions and is happy to discuss with you.

Inspired by Australian flora and fauna, Amy Tran is an Adelaide-based digital artist who harmonises rich, bold colours with subdued, pastel hues. Organic, abstract, free-flowing shapes take centre stage.Β

ANNE HOGBEN – Chinese Brush Stroke Art

Anne’s beautiful birds are painted in the style of Chinese Brush Stroke.

ROOKART – Emma Durant’s striking medium is scraperboard. Her monochromatic originals and prints show the intricacy of her work.

LEAH GRANT – Leah was our very first artist to exhibit and how appropriate as her fabulous street art is on our wall on the corner of our building. Her work is bright, colourful and uplifting. Leah explores the textures and colours of various mediums, focusing most recently with photography, ink, acrylic and aerosol.
